Certificate of Conformity SKU Customer Reference Guide

All our Transceivers, Direct Attach, Active Optical and Fibre Optic Cables conform to the below environmental and safety standards. As it is unfeasible to create SKU specific certifications for every one of our 5000+ available SKUs, we have designed a nomenclature structure that covers all form factors and technical formats that we sell and hence are covered by these certifications. Further details are available in our Certificate of Conformity SKU Reference Guide. Please contact us if you require further assistance.

FDA

Date of issue: December 13, 2022

The Food and Drug Administration, a Government body in the USA, is responsible for protecting public health by ensuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, and medical devices; and by ensuring the safety of the nation's food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.

The FDA standard outlines optical safety requirements for laser products under 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11, which cover general laser products and specific uses like medical, demonstration, and surveying/alignment lasers. Manufacturers must ensure their products meet safety and performance standards. The FDA standard is aligned with the international standard IEC 60825-1 and this certification is accepted by the FDA.

CE (EMC)

Date of issue: December 13, 2022

Meeting the requirements of the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive, 2014/30/EU is an essential part of the CE Marking process. EMC ensures that an electronics product does not adversely affect or be affected by other products in the same environment.

The letters ‘CE’ appear on many products traded on the extended Single Market in the European Economic Area (EEA). They signify that products sold in the EEA have been assessed to meet high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. Although this is essentially an EEA certification, it is generally accepted globally. Visit https://single-market-economy.ec.europa.eu/single-market/ce-marking_en for more information.
